We sell trucks, handle authority formation, dispatch drivers, and perform all repairs and custom installs right here in our Tuscaloosa shop. We are expanding our operation and adding a dedicated night shift install team to keep up with demand. This is a real opportunity to get in early with a company that is growing fast.
About the Role
We are hiring night shift liftgate installers to join our shop team. You will be responsible for installing hydraulic liftgate systems on box trucks from start to finish. This is hands-on physical work in a shop environment. You will work alongside a small team and be expected to complete quality installs every shift. If you are reliable, can follow instructions, and want to learn a skilled trade — this is your opportunity.
No prior liftgate experience is required. We will train the right person. What we cannot train is reliability and work ethic — you need to bring that yourself.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing hydraulic liftgate systems on box trucks
- Mounting liftgate frames and platforms to truck chassis
- Running and connecting hydraulic lines and fluid systems
- Wiring liftgate electrical systems including switches and controls
- Testing liftgate operation — full cycle up and down — before releasing any truck
- Following shop job cards and documenting all work completed
- Keeping your work area clean and organized
- Communicating any issues or findings to the shift lead or shop manager
- Assisting with other shop install work as needed — cameras, sleepers, lighting
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable — night shift requires someone who shows up on time every single night, no exceptions
- Mechanical aptitude — you do not need to be a certified mechanic but you need to be comfortable with tools and physical hands-on work
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow installation instructions
- Comfortable working with hydraulic systems (experience is a plus, not required — we will train)
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in a shop environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Prior auto, truck, or heavy equipment experience is a plus but not required

Schedule
Night Shift — Full Time Hours: TBD based on shop schedule — typically evening through overnight Monday through Friday with potential weekend availability
