Full-time | Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime
Faraway Farm & Ranch Construction is seeking a dependable, experienced Civil Construction Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our North Texas field team. This is a hands-on position for someone comfortable operating equipment and assisting with general construction work as needed.
Responsibilities
· Operate bulldozers, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, compactors, and similar equipment
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation
- Assist with drainage, utility, concrete, fencing, and general civil construction
- Preference given to someone who can independently complete grading, trenching and excavation work.
- Load, unload, and safely handle materials, tools, and equipment
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Read basic plans, measurements, grades, and job site instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Work cooperatively with the superintendent, foreman and other crew members
- Perform physical labor when equipment is not being operated
Qualifications
· 5+ years civil construction or sitework experience required
- Demonstrated experience safely operating construction equipment
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical construction work
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of jobsite safety requirements
- CDL or equipment certifications are helpful but not required
