Providence Presbyterian Preschool is looking for warm, nurturing, and dependable teachers to join our preschool family for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.
Providence Presbyterian Preschool is an outreach ministry of Providence Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. We believe that young children learn best through hands-on experiences, play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. Our play-based program focuses on the process of learning rather than the final product, helping children build confidence, independence, self-worth, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are currently hiring for part-time teaching positions in our Twos and Threes classrooms.

Schedule
Our preschool operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM.
Teachers work from 8:30 AM–1:00 PM.
Our school year runs from September through May, with teacher workdays beginning at the end of August before the start of school.

Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Three professional references required
- Criminal background check required and paid for by the preschool
- CPR certification provided by the preschool
Responsibilities
Teachers will:
- Work with their age-level teaching team to plan daily activities aligned with our play-based curriculum
- Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families, coworkers, and the Preschool Director
- Participate in teacher workdays and professional development trainings
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Work as a team with the preschool staff to support the needs of the school
Compensation and Benefits
- Part-time schedule of approximately five hours per day
- Salaries are determined individually based on education and experience
- Employees are paid once per month
- Direct deposit is available
- Paid holiday breaks include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter
- Personal leave days are provided based on the number of days worked per week
- CPR certification is provided by the preschool
