Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to encourage sales and customer satisfaction.
- Restock bar supplies regularly and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of popular drinks.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and managing intoxicated guests appropriately.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, craft beers, and spirits.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly while maintaining quality standards.
- Proven experience in food service environments such as fine dining establishments or hospitality venues.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clientele in a lively atmosphere.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Experience in bar management or supervising bar operations is a plus; previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous.
