Position description: Working in the production group with focus on integration of industrial control panels. These panels primarily utilize Rital TS8 enclosures with PLC and specialized control and protection platforms installed.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee shop floor operations (assembling, wiring, testing), to ensure efficiency, quality control, and compliance with engineering drawings, project specifications and industry standards (UL508A, NEC).
- Ensure compliance with company safety policy and strict adherence to workplace safety protocols.
- Maintain and organize the workspace in production workshop. Streamline workshop layout and workflow. Conduct regular workplace audits.
- Distribute daily workloads and prioritize tasks to technicians to meet project deadlines.
- Train and guide less experienced technicians in best practices and proper tool usage.
- Perform point-to-point testing, troubleshooting assembly and wiring issues.
- Maintains "as-built" redline drawings to communicate modifications to the engineering team for future revisions.
- Request and receive items for the integration.
- Monitor integration material stock levels and works closely with production manager to ensure timely notification of supplies needs.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance on workshop equipment and maintain an organized inventory of power tools and specialty tools.
- Assemble engineered systems.
- Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Perform signal testing of I/O loops on industrial Control Panels
- Prepare products and systems for shipment.
- Design and build test equipment.
- Operate forklift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- English speaking
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Driver’s License
- 5+ years of experience in industrial control panel manufacturing, integration, or automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Working knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work within a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Automation, Industrial Systems, or related field
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Familiarity with UL508A, NEC, and industrial electrical standards
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Experience supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
