Are you someone who knows how to keep customers happy, crews moving, and properties looking their best?
U.S. Lawns of Myrtle Beach is looking for an experienced, hands-on Account Manager to oversee commercial landscape maintenance accounts and help lead the field teams responsible for delivering great service.
This is not a desk job.
You’ll spend your days working with customers, supporting crew leaders, visiting properties, solving problems, managing schedules and resources, and making sure our teams are delivering the quality and professionalism our customers expect.
If you enjoy being in the middle of the action, building strong relationships, and taking ownership of your accounts and your team, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned commercial customers
- Oversee and support approximately 3–4 landscape maintenance crews
- Visit properties regularly to monitor quality and address service needs
- Respond quickly and professionally to customer questions and concerns
- Coordinate daily schedules, routes, job sequencing, and changing priorities
- Lead morning dispatch and help ensure crews are prepared for the day
- Work closely with crew leaders to improve performance, productivity, and quality
- Manage labor hours, material usage, and job budgets
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of field employees
- Ensure company safety procedures, vehicle inspections, and equipment inspections are followed
- Coordinate communication between customers, field teams, and the office
- Lead successful job startups for new commercial accounts
- Identify opportunities for landscape enhancements and additional services
- Prepare enhancement proposals and help grow existing customer relationships
- Help coordinate materials, equipment, rentals, and other resources needed by field teams
- Step in and help solve problems when the unexpected happens
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines customer service, leadership, organization, and field operations experience.
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Have experience in commercial landscaping, lawn maintenance, property services, or a similar field-based service business
- Have successfully supervised crews, field employees, or frontline teams
- Are comfortable communicating directly with commercial customers
- Can manage multiple properties, priorities, and deadlines without losing track of the details
- Know how to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive team environment
- Understand the importance of job quality, productivity, labor management, and customer retention
- Are comfortable working both outdoors in the field and indoors handling administrative responsibilities
- Can identify problems, make decisions, and follow through
- Are willing to jump in and help the team when needed
- Have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
The Person Who Will Do Well Here
You don’t wait for someone to tell you every next step.
You notice when a property needs attention. You communicate with the customer before a small problem becomes a big one. You know what’s happening with your crews, and you’re willing to have difficult conversations when expectations aren’t being met.
At the same time, you understand that great account management isn’t just about putting out fires.
It’s about building relationships, developing employees, protecting the profitability of the work, identifying opportunities to grow accounts, and creating customers who want to stay with U.S. Lawns year after year.
