KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Part-Time | Evening and Weekend Hours
The Wooden Table Inn is looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant to help keep our kitchen running smoothly. This is a hands-on support position that includes washing dishes, preparing ingredients, making salads and pizzas, and helping the cooks wherever needed.
The Wooden Table has been part of the Britt community for many years. We’re looking for someone who respects that tradition, works well with others, and is willing to learn how our kitchen operates.
Responsibilities include:
- Washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils
- Keeping the dish area and kitchen clean and organized
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Preparing salads and assembling pizzas
- Stocking ingredients and supplies
- Helping cooks during busy meal periods
- Following food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Taking out garbage and assisting with end-of-shift cleanup
- Pitching in wherever needed to keep the kitchen moving
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and arrives ready to work
- Can work efficiently in a busy kitchen
- Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
- Is comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Can work evenings and weekends
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is helpful, but it is not required. We’re willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and wants to be part of the team.
