Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced cannabis enthusiast to serve as our Full-Time Brooklyn Brand Educator. This field-based role is essential for connecting the MFNY brand to the people of New York by bringing our story, quality, and energy to life at partner dispensaries. The Brand Educator serves as a storyteller, a technical expert, and a relationship manager, ensuring that our products are represented with the highest standards of craft and authenticity. This position requires a proactive professional who can operate autonomously to manage a regional territory, execute high-impact activations, and maintain strong professional relationships with dispensary partners.
Core Responsibilities and Field Execution
The Brand Educator is responsible for a diverse range of activities that bridge the gap between our production facility and the retail environment. Success in this role depends on the ability to balance educational initiatives with visual merchandising and event coordination. Brand Education - Conduct 40-minute to 1-hour staff training covering the MFNY farm, our single-source process, and the full product lineup. Maintain a consistent schedule of re-trainings to ensure dispensary staff remain experts on our brand.
Visual Merchandising - Monitor physical representation on shelves and ensure displays are clean, up-to-date, and aligned with the MFNY aesthetic. Secure and strive to always improve visual placement in the store by using applicable visual and display assets and props as per display & merchandising guidelines. Secure top-shelf placement and use branded assets like educational boards and rotating displays to maximize visibility.
Brand Activations - Plan and execute purposeful in-store activations featuring table setups, aroma engagement with MFNY badders, and the distribution of educational materials and branded giveaways to enhance the customer experience.
Digital Monitoring - Audit partner dispensary websites to ensure MFNY products are accurately represented with correct images, descriptions, and availability. Proactively coordinate with store partners to resolve any online discrepancies.
Territory Management - Independently manage a weekly schedule that includes a mix of store visits, displays, and trainings. Utilize the Regional Store Priority List to optimize travel and impact within the Brooklyn territory.

Work Environment and Physical Expectations
This is a full-time position that demands flexibility and physical stamina. The nature of the cannabis retail industry requires that our team be available when the business needs us most, which often includes evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Brand Educators must be prepared to represent the brand in a fast-paced field environment, arriving at locations early and fully prepared for setup.
The role involves significant physical activity. Candidates must be capable of carrying more than 25 lbs, as well as pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting materials for display setups and activations. Extended periods of standing are common during in-store events. We provide branded MFNY gear and expect all team members to maintain a clean, professional appearance that reflects our commitment to quality and New York pride.

MFNY maintains high standards for internal communication and reporting. Our Brand Educators utilize Slack as a primary tool for daily field reporting, providing real-time updates through photo and video documentation of displays and activations. We expect all written communication to be clear, respectful, intentional, and efficient, ensuring that our team remains aligned and responsive to the needs of our partners and the market.
