Part-Time Youth Ministry Director
Position Summary
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
The Youth Ministry Director will partner with parents and the church to make disciples of students in grades 6–12 by faithfully teaching God’s Word, building authentic relationships, mentoring students, and equipping them to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18–20; 2 Timothy 2:2). This is a relational ministry first. The Youth Ministry Director will faithfully teach and model the doctrines and convictions of Oak Chapel Church as outlined in our Statement of Faith.

We believe students are not merely the future of the church—they are an important part of the church today. Our desire is to raise up young men and women who love Jesus wholeheartedly, know and obey His Word, serve the local church, share the Gospel, and become future Christian leaders. Our goal is not simply to grow attendance but to make lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.
Primary Responsibilities
Biblical Teaching (2 Timothy 4:2)
- Lead a weekly youth group for grades 6–12.
- Teach Junior High and Senior High Sunday School each Sunday.
- Prepare engaging, biblically faithful lessons.
- Encourage participation in worship and the life of the church.
Relational Discipleship (1 Timothy 4:12)
- Build intentional relationships with students.
- Meet individually or in small groups for mentoring.
- Pray with and for students.
- Support students at school and community events when possible.
- Help students discover and use their spiritual gifts.
Outreach & Community Engagement (Matthew 28:19–20)
- Foster an inviting ministry culture.
- Build relationships with local schools and community organizations.
- Partner with ministries such as Youth for Christ (YFC), FCA, See You at the Pole, and similar ministries.
- Encourage students to serve both within the church and throughout the community.
Parent Partnership (Deuteronomy 6:6–7)
- Encourage parents as the primary disciplers of their children.
- Communicate regularly with families.
- Provide biblical encouragement and prayer.
Volunteer Leadership (Ephesians 4:11–12)
- Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers.
- Develop mentoring relationships.
- Maintain a safe, Christ-centered ministry.
Ministry Development (Psalm 127:1)
- Prayerfully seek opportunities to grow the youth ministry spiritually and numerically.
- Plan camps, retreats, service projects, outreach events, and fellowship activities.
- Integrate students into the broader life of the church.
Doctrinal Alignment
The successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate a personal saving faith in Jesus Christ.
- Live a life consistent with the biblical qualifications for Christian leadership (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1).
- Affirm and teach in accordance with Oak Chapel's Statement of Faith.
- Believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and final authority for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
- Support the church's biblical convictions regarding the Trinity, salvation through Christ alone, marriage, sexuality, the sanctity of life, and Christian living.
- Model biblical integrity both publicly and privately.

- Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Live a life consistent with biblical standards for Christian leadership.
- Demonstrate humility, integrity, purity, and servant leadership.
- Faithfully participate in the ministries of Oak Chapel.
- Model a biblical view of marriage, sexuality, family, and the sanctity of life.
- Love all people with the compassion of Christ while faithfully teaching biblical truth (Ephesians 4:15; 2 Timothy 2:24–26).
Success Will Be Measured By
Colossians 1:28
Success is measured less by attendance and more by evidence of spiritual growth.

- Inviting friends into the life of the church.
