Summary:
The Field Supervisor acts as a link between the university, program course work, the student intern and the field placement sites (district/school). He/she shares responsibility for assisting students to develop their knowledge, skills, attitudes, dispositions and beliefs in professionally productive ways within the framework of the program. A Field Supervisor conducts observations and completes documents on a prescribed schedule.

Job Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
- Implement the requirements for facilitating the opportunities of the campus-based program.

Assist students to apply their knowledge and skill to school settings.

Aid students in improving their professional decision-making abilities through critical self-reflection and self-analysis.

Establish and maintain cooperative relationships between the university and the schools

Remediate difficulties or differences which may arise and which may affect the teacher.

Commit to a 3 quarter commitment (Fall, Winter, Spring) aligned with the school's calendar.

Conduct required observations and formal write-ups due for each student on a prescribed schedule.

Hold a minimum of two required meetings with university faculty and other field supervisors per year.
Minimum Qualifications:

- Master's degree in field relevant to the student's area of study.

Washington state teacher's endorsement.

Relevant and current job experiences with the teacher endorsement course content that contributes to the student's experience.

Skills and flexibility to design learning activities which will engage diverse adult learners with the course content.

Prefer experience as part-time or recently -retired teacher or school administrator.
