Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet our high standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Effectively finish all closing duties at the end of every shift.
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, including catering options for special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
- Experience with meal preparation, catering, or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
