Pay Range: $7.00/hr + Tips

Job Summary:
THIS IS A FULL TIME BARTENDER POSITION FOR OUR OUTSIDE POOL BAR, OPEN UNTIL THE END OF SEPTEMBER.
The Bartender at the Princess Bayside Beach Hotel is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through the preparation and service of beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar environment, and upholding the resort’s high standards of hospitality. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Guest Service & Hospitality
· Greet all guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner
· Build rapport with guests; use guest names whenever possible
· Provide attentive, personalized service and ensure guest satisfaction at all times
· Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and urgency
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions
· Assist with seating guests when needed, in conjunction with hosts and management
· Answer telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Beverage Service & Product Knowledge
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
· Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails and the ability to learn and execute a signature cocktail program
· Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions
· Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue
· Accurately take and process orders using the Digital Dining POS system
Operations & Cleanliness
· Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times
· Complete all opening, running, and closing side work as assigned
· Ensure bar setup and breakdown meet department standards
· Clean and reset bar seating and surrounding areas for incoming guests
· Assist with in-room dining beverage orders as needed
Compliance & Safety
· Follow all local and state alcohol service laws and regulations
· Verify guest identification, including familiarity with various forms of ID (driver’s licenses, passports, military IDs, visas)
· Practice responsible alcohol service and monitor guest consumption
· Adhere to all resort policies, procedures, and uniform standards
· Maintain proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures
Teamwork & Communication
· Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service
· Communicate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
· Support team members as needed to meet operational demands
· Perform all duties in alignment with resort and departmental mission statements

Education/Experience/Skills:
· Previous bartending experience preferred in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or resort setting
· TIPS (or equivalent alcohol service certification) preferred
· Strong knowledge of standard cocktail recipes
· Familiarity with POS systems (Digital Dining preferred, but not required)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Work Environment:
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
· Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
· Seasonal fluctuations in hours (full-time in-season, reduced hours off-season)
