As an Overnight Server, you’ll be responsible for providing top-tier customer service, managing food and beverage orders efficiently, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation throughout your shift. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, including opening and closing checks
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling procedures
- Support kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation or bussing as needed during busy hours
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation protocols at all times
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently during overnight hours
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during late-night shifts in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant roles, including serving or host/hostess positions preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during overnight shifts
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales revenue
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing accuracy
- Ability to work independently during late-night hours while maintaining high standards of hospitality
- Knowledge of the food industry’s best practices in serving, bussing, and sanitation
