Trust Team Manager
REPORTING TO: Chief Fiduciary Officer
TYPE: Full-Time (Exempt)
LOCATION: Spokane, WA, Seattle, WA, or Portland, OR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Trust Team Manager is a leadership position that plays a critical people leadership role in supporting, developing, managing, and empowering a team of 20 Trust Associates across multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, high‑quality administrative support for Trust Officers with a book of business consisting of fiduciary accounts and combines people management, workflow oversight, and process improvement, while maintaining a strong focus on fiduciary risk management and professional development. This person also supports and partners with the Chief Fiduciary Officer in the execution of various initiatives and projects and will collaborate closely with the Human Resources Director.
The Trust Team Manager requires an outgoing and professional personality with a keen attention to detail and ability to master the various computer software platforms and systems. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and interested in developing both people and processes.
DUTIES:
Leadership Duties
- Directly managing, coaching, and developing 20+ Trust Associates
- Overseeing workload distribution and prioritization across the Trust Associate Team
- Supporting onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development
- Serving as an escalation point for workflow, capacity, and performance issues
- Partnering with Trust Officers to align administrative support with account complexity
- Managing billable time goals and performance to meet individual Trust Associate productivity goals
- Modeling professionalism, accountability, and collaborative leadership
Other Duties
- Ensuring adherence to fiduciary policies, procedures, and risk controls
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Promoting effective use of systems, including CRM and document management tools
- Participating in cross‑functional projects and operational initiatives
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, or supervising staff
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and increase efficiencies (also find opportunities)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and guide others effectively
Preferred
- Five or more years of direct experience in the administration of fiduciary accounts, including trusts and estates
- Experience using continuous improvement methodologies/philosophies
- Prior experience managing Trust Associates or similar administrative teams
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with CRM systems and interest in process improvement

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
