The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. We offer independent living, assisted living and memory care and our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected.
We are currently seeking full time, part time and Per Diem Nursing Assistants to provide hands-on personal care and compassionate daily support to our Sisters. This role reports to the Nursing Director.
The shifts we are hiring for are:

What You'll Do

Assist with the provision of patient care, complying with established standards of care and following defined procedures.

Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with each Sister-resident.

Report pertinent data and observations through established system of communication.

Provide patient care according to an established plan of care as directed.

Assist with orientation of newly hired resident assistants.

Cooperate with other staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good morale and teamwork.

Perform light housekeeping and laundry services essential to care and comfort as well as maintenance of a hygienic and functional environment.

Maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge and skill by, reading and participating in, in-service training.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, empathy, and professionalism while supporting Sisters with their daily activities and is comfortable providing personal care while preserving each Sister's dignity, privacy, and respect. They communicate clearly and professionally with Sisters, families, and colleagues, maintain confidentiality, and consistently exercise sound judgment in all situations. They follow established nursing protocols and infection prevention and control standards, adapt to changing resident needs and care priorities with flexibility, and respond effectively in a fast-paced care environment. Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or senior living setting is preferred.
Schedule: Some weekends and holidays required
Pay: $21/hour
Differentials available:
1st shift, Saturday/Sunday, $3.00/hour more
2nd shift, Monday-Friday, $3.00/hour more
2nd shift, Saturday/Sunday, $6.00/hour more
Physical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: Standing and walking 2/3 of the day; sitting 1/3 of the day; use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching, bending and stooping; talking, hearing; lifting up to 75 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
