Job Title: Sales Representative – Southern United States

Summary/Objective
The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for developing, owning, and growing OEM and Tier 1 automotive business throughout the Southern United States. This position generates new business, manages customer relationships, supports program launches, and achieves sustained sales growth while representing GDC’s products and manufacturing capabilities.
This role supports the southern automotive corridor, including major OEMs such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai, Kia, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Volkswagen, Ford, Volvo, Tesla, and emerging EV manufacturers, along with the Tier 1 supplier base that serves them.
GDC is a family-owned automotive components manufacturer founded in 1955, headquartered in Goshen, Indiana. The company operates 8 manufacturing facilities with over $81M in annual revenue and 400+ employees. GDC specializes in acoustic insulation (Sonozorb®), thermoplastics, engineered sealing systems, and EV battery components.

The manufacturing process output includes, but is not limited to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers throughout the Southern United States
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across OEM and Tier 1 accounts
- Manage customer opportunities from RFQ through sourcing, PPAP, and production launch
- Expand revenue within existing accounts across acoustics, thermoplastics, sealing systems, and EV battery components
- Present GDC products and manufacturing capabilities
- Participate in technical reviews, supplier days, customer meetings, and trade shows
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Operations, and internal labs
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, forecasts, and sales reports
- Contribute to regional commercial strategy
- Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasting, and pipeline reporting
- Travel throughout the assigned territory (50–70%)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Frequent regional travel (approximately 50–70%) throughout the Southern United States is required, with occasional travel to GDC facilities.

Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
· 10+ years of automotive sales experience
· Experience with OEM/Tier 1 relationships
· Manufacturing experience preferred
Additional Requirements
· Knowledge of RFQ, APQP, PPAP
· Technical understanding of automotive components
· CRM experience
· Ability to travel
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math and business calculations required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in various formats. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
Ability to move through facilities and travel; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment:
Home office, customer sites, and manufacturing environments.
