Farmersville Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to direct patient communication and swallowing therapies. Our team manages care plans for short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term residents. Therapists coordinate care directly with our nursing and dietary staff to ensure stable patient outcomes.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits
- Pay: Starting at $52/hour (increases with experience).
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, PRN (As Needed) availability.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Conduct bedside swallow assessments to establish safe diet textures and fluid consistencies.
- Formulate clear treatment plans utilizing objective patient data and documented medical necessity.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and nursing teams to monitor patient safety during meals.
- Train residents and family members on functional compensatory strategies and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate progress notes inside the electronic medical records system to fulfill state and federal requirements.

Farmersville Health and Rehabilitation is a 74-bed skilled nursing facility located at 205 Beech St, Farmersville, TX 75442. The smaller facility layout supports direct communication across departments. Therapy teams actively participate in daily care planning, which helps short-term rehab clients regain functional independence while maintaining quality of life for our long-term residents.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Previous experience inside a skilled nursing or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation for dependable attendance.
