Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the apartment community, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations.
- Oversee the leasing process, including marketing, showing apartments, and processing applications.
- Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities and resident information.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair work in the community.
- Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Enforce community policies and handle any lease violations or disputes.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure it is well-maintained and meets safety standards.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the property, including rent collection and expense tracking.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service delivery.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of property management laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and their application in a rental community.
- Proven sales skills with the ability to effectively market and lease apartments.
- Experience working with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, CMMS, or OneSite.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, staff, and vendors.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address resident concerns or maintenance issues promptly.
- Understanding of contract management principles.
