Pharmacy Technician - Certified and Non-certified
Position Summary
Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurate. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.
We are hiring full-time Pharmacy Technicians for our Central Fill Pharmacy in Springfield.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and process prescriptions using advanced pharmacy technology
- Maintain medication inventory and ensure accuracy
- Perform quality checks to support patient safety
- Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Salary:
- Certified - the starting pay is $24.00 per hour.
- Non-certified - the starting pay is $20.50 per hour.
- $2.00/hour differential shift for 2nd shift
Schedule/Availability:
4-day work week consisting of four 10-hour shifts.
Sunday availability is required and candidates without Sunday availability will not be considered.
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (availability required between 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM (availability required between 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
What you’ll bring
- Meet Missouri Pharmacy Technician requirements
- Certified: Active PTCB or NHA certification
- Non-Certified: Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician license
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
- Comfortable using computers and automation technology
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work 10-hour shifts
