The Bakery Line Operator is responsible for handling, assembling, and processing baked goods, ensuring that production runs efficiently and without interruptions. This role involves the production of various baked products such as Tiramisu, Éclairs, Crumb Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, and Sheet Cakes. The operator must follow precise procedures to ensure quality, consistency, and safety in production. All operators assist each other with tasks depending on the product being processed, so their responsibilities may vary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
Key Responsibilities:
- Grease and line baking trays, transferring them between racks and production stations.
- Load trays for sponge cake batter deposit and move filled trays to ovens for baking.
- Perforate baked sponge cakes, apply syrup, and prepare cakes for filling.
- Assemble layered cakes, apply filling, compress layers, and transfer finished products to the freezer.
- Prepare trays and equipment for éclair production, bake products, and move them to finishing areas.
- Prepare and apply streusel topping to cakes and other baked goods.
- Organize products on trays and racks for efficient baking and processing.
- Monitor product quality, ensuring proper filling distribution and uniform topping application.
- Remove molds, cool baked products, and prepare finished goods for packaging.
- Maintain production flow by transporting products between preparation, baking, finishing, and storage areas.
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to follow precise production steps and instructions.
- Attention to detail to ensure proper weights, deposits, and layering.
- Ability to lift and move trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with other operators.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours
Work Environment:

- Standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.
Language: Bilingual preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Be able to bend, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds.
