As a Diesel Technician B (Advanced Technician), you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, refuse vehicles, trailers, and equipment while continuing to expand your technical expertise. You'll perform preventive maintenance, complete intermediate and advanced repairs, work alongside experienced Master Technicians, and help maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime.

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air brake systems.

Perform preventive maintenance inspections to maximize the reliability of our trucks and equipment.

Repair and maintain refuse trucks, vocational vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.

Utilize diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment to identify equipment failures.

Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs when qualified.

Accurately complete repair orders, inspections, maintenance documentation, and parts records.

Work alongside Diesel Technician A (Master Technician)s while continuing to build your technical knowledge and skills.

Respond to emergency repairs and operational needs as assigned.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a strong safety culture.

One (1) or more years of experience maintaining or repairing diesel trucks, heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, or related mechanical systems.

Basic knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Must provide and maintain a basic set of professional tools.

ASE certifications, Brake Certification, Class A CDL, refuse industry experience, and bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) are a plus.
