Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician / Grower to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Duties
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, ensuring optimal water delivery across outdoor fields, greenhouses, and indoor grow areas
- Monitor and manage agricultural environmental control systems such as climate controllers, humidity sensors, and ventilation equipment to promote healthy plant growth
- Assist in crop production activities including planting, pruning, garden trimming, and harvesting to ensure high-quality yields
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance, pest management, and crop care to uphold safety and efficiency standards
- Manage irrigation schedules and troubleshoot irrigation management issues to optimize water use and crop health
- Conduct plant pest control measures using integrated pest management techniques to prevent infestations while minimizing chemical use
- Support landscaping tasks such as lawn care, land clearing, and outdoor gardening projects to maintain a clean and productive environment
- Use hand tools and heavy lifting as needed for equipment repairs, planting projects, or landscape maintenance
- Identify plants accurately for proper care or pest identification purposes while maintaining detailed records of activities performed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in greenhouse cultivation, outdoor farming, or horticulture with a strong understanding of crop production principles
- Knowledge of irrigation systems management and agricultural environmental control systems
- Hands-on experience with plant pest management strategies and integrated pest management (IPM) practices
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and equipment maintenance routines
- Ability to operate hand tools, gardening equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, outdoor work in various weather conditions, gardening tasks, and land management activities
- Strong attention to detail in plant identification, crop monitoring, and pest control efforts
- Excellent teamwork skills with experience managing horticultural teams or collaborating with other farm staff
- Valid experience working outdoors or in greenhouse environments; landscaping or lawn care experience is a plus
