We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented leader to oversee our Architectural Powder Coating Department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and leading a small team in a fast-paced production environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Receive and inspect incoming aluminum extrusions and architectural parts (measure, count, and verify accuracy)
- Clean, sand, and prepare parts for coating
- Operate our 5-stage pretreatment system (acid etch, DI rinse, and zirconium coat)
- Hang parts on racks for coating, ensuring the powder coater has optimal access
- Create or modify hanging wires when needed (e.g., “bow tie” style hangers)
- Supervise one other team member in the architectural department
- Track architectural jobs through the shop and communicate with the production manager
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the architectural area
- Fill in and assist other departments as needed
