We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused professional to join our team in an operating role that supports the safe movement of heavy materials and equipment on active worksites. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a commitment to safe work practices, and the ability to work effectively with site supervisors, rigging personnel, and other team members to complete lifting operations efficiently and accurately.
- Operate lifting equipment to move materials, components, and equipment in accordance with site plans and established safety procedures.
- Perform pre-operation inspections and document equipment condition before use.
- Follow load charts, signals, rigging plans, and all applicable safety requirements during lifting activities.
- Communicate clearly with riggers, signal persons, supervisors, and other crew members to ensure safe and coordinated operations.
- Position loads carefully and maintain awareness of surroundings, including hazards, personnel, and site conditions.
- Complete routine operational checks and report maintenance needs, defects, or unusual equipment performance promptly.
- Support general site safety and housekeeping practices as required.
- Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and other operational documentation when applicable.
- Experience operating lifting or heavy equipment in industrial, construction, maritime, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices, load handling, and site communication protocols.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, lift plans, safety procedures, and equipment indicators.
- Good hand-eye coordination, situational awareness, and sound judgment under pressure.
- Commitment to working safely, wearing required personal protective equipment, and following all company and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
- Relevant certification or license for operating lifting equipment, where required by local regulations.
- Experience working with rigging teams and signal personnel.
- Knowledge of inspection procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and hazard recognition.
- Familiarity with construction, industrial, port, or warehouse operations.
- Work may take place outdoors, in industrial facilities, or on active job sites with varying weather and environmental conditions.
- May require standing, climbing, and working at heights or in confined areas, depending on site needs and equipment type.
- May involve shift work, early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime based on operational demands.
