Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, electrical work, and a passion for renewable energy. You will work closely with a team to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on rooftops and ground-mounted systems according to project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble and secure solar panel systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement for solar panels while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Perform electrical work including wiring, connecting inverters, and ensuring high voltage safety protocols are followed.
- Troubleshoot any installation issues that arise during the process.
- Maintain a clean and safe construction site by following all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction or electrical work is preferred.
- Familiarity with using voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of NEC codes related to solar installations is a plus.
- Ability to work at heights on roofs safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials as needed.
