Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage inventory control through stock ordering, merchandising, pricing strategies, and loss prevention measures.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a positive shopping experience.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales processing, payroll management, and sales reporting to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to boost sales and enhance store visibility.
- Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze retail math metrics, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and training & development.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through effective supervision and motivation.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques.
- Experience with retail math calculations such as pricing strategies and sales analysis is essential.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, marketing tactics, and retail sales techniques.
