Vision Systems Engineer - Job Description
- Design and develop automotive vision systems including cameras, mirrors, glazing, wipers, and wash systems across the product lifecycle.
- Define system requirements, interfaces, and specifications aligned with vehicle architecture and regulatory needs.
- Lead or support RFQs, technical evaluations, supplier selection, and ongoing supplier engineering activities.
- Coordinate CAD, packaging, and CAE activities to ensure system integration, visibility, safety, and packaging targets are met.
- Own DVP&R, DFMEA, test plans, and quality documentation for assigned vision-related systems.
- Ensure compliance with global safety, visibility, and regulatory standards (FMVSS, ECE, OEM requirements).
- Support prototype builds, validation testing, and launch readiness activities.
- Track technical issues and drive cross-functional resolution with manufacturing, quality, and vehicle integration teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through robust engineering and design-for-manufacturability practices.
