Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories, providing expert advice on vehicle systems and maintenance needs
- Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and tracking parts using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and POS (Point of Sale) software
- Process sales transactions accurately through cashiering and POS systems while handling cash, credit, or electronic payments securely
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure timely order fulfillment for vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of parts orders, stock levels, and inventory movements using Microsoft Office tools like Excel and other organizational software
- Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, product knowledge sharing, and personalized service
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting automotive parts and accessories to increase retail sales
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, and vehicle systems with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment processes
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus) to connect with diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience with dealership operations or retail sales environments involving automotive parts is highly desirable
- Familiarity with inventory management software such as CMMS or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Effective negotiation skills to upsell products while maintaining positive client relationships
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate pricing, discounts, and profit calculations
- Ability to handle cashiering duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Strong phone etiquette for engaging with customers over the phone or via digital communication channels
- Mechanical knowledge combined with customer service expertise to address client needs confidently and professionally
