Executive Director
Community Center – Fort Wayne, Indiana
An established community center in Fort Wayne, Indiana is seeking a visionary, mission-driven Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and community impact. This leadership opportunity comes as part of a planned transition in preparation for the retirement of our current Executive Director this fall, providing the opportunity to build upon a strong foundation while shaping the future of an organization that has served Fort Wayne families for more than 50 years. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead strategic initiatives, secure grants and charitable support, cultivate donors and community partnerships, supervise our adult education programs, coordinate volunteers who support our office and food bank, and inspire others to advance our mission of helping individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency through education and opportunity.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced nonprofit leader who thrives on building relationships, growing organizations, and turning vision into reality. The successful candidate will lead fundraising efforts, pursue grant opportunities, and champion an exciting capital campaign to renovate the Center and expand services that provide a true "step up" for families throughout Fort Wayne's east-central community. You will work alongside a dedicated Board of Directors, committed volunteers, and passionate staff to create lasting change for generations to come.
The ideal candidate will have successful nonprofit leadership experience, a proven record of grant writing and fundraising, strong supervisory and organizational skills, an appreciation for adult education, and the ability to inspire donors, volunteers, and community partners around a shared vision. If you are energized by the opportunity to grow an organization, expand its impact, and lead transformational initiatives that strengthen families and neighborhoods, we encourage you to apply.
The center is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEOC). Join us in leading an organization with a proud history, a bold vision for the future, and a mission that changes lives every day.
