Job Summary:
As the Power Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations related to power distribution and maintenance within the assigned area or facility. Your primary duties will include coordinating and supervising the work of power technicians and personnel engaged in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. You will ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and operational standards. Additionally, as a Power Foreman, you will contribute to the planning, scheduling, and execution of power projects, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing downtime. Your role will involve leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with internal teams to support the organization's power distribution objectives effectively.
Essential Functions:
- Safely handle and maneuver electrical equipment weighing up to 300 pounds.

Conduct thorough inspections of trucks before and after scheduled trips to ensure safety and functionality.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical power systems and equipment.

Effectively communicate with Dispatchers and site superintendents regarding project requirements and updates.

Apply understanding of local utility company requirements, electrical codes, and specifications for the proper installation and inspection of power poles.

Ensure the safe and efficient operation of company tools and equipment.

Enforce strict compliance with safety instructions and directives, preventing work on energized (HOT) electrical lines or equipment.

Complete and submit daily driver and production contracts, as well as weekly safety tailgate topics.

Attend and actively participate in tailgate meetings and trimester/quarterly safety meetings.

Maintain a consistently safe and clean work area.
Qualifications:

Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred

High School diploma or equivalent; one to two years of electrical and/or temporary power experience required.

Regular interaction with individuals both within and outside the company across all organizational levels.

Ability to exercise frequent independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and providing guidance for complex and challenging tasks.
- Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

Capable of calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions presented in written, oral, or diagram formats.

Valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record within company guidelines required.

Must be at least 21 years old, as the role may involve driving a company vehicle.

DOT medical card may be necessary to operate a company vehicle with a GVWR of 10,000 lbs. or more.

Forklift certification will be provided post-hire.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The job requires extended periods of driving.

Occasional standing, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and listening.

Work in highly precarious places may be necessary.

Occasional walking and sitting.

Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting between 50 and 100 pounds (may require two-person lifting for loads over 100 pounds).

Exposure to electrical shock, vibration, and inclement weather conditions.
