Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Scoop ice cream with precision, maintaining cleanliness and portion control standards
- Manage customer orders, upselling additional toppings or treats to enhance their experience
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sanitizing equipment and cleaning serving areas regularly
- Handle cash register operations, processing cash, credit card transactions, and giving accurate change
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures
Requirements
- Previous food service or quick service restaurant experience preferred, especially in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean workspace
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Retail sales experience or grocery store background is advantageous but not required
