Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate cash register and scanner
- Process customer payments and provide accurate change
- Bag merchandise and assist customers as needed
- Greet customers and deliver outstanding service
- Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves
- Unpack deliveries and organize inventory
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, shelves, restrooms, trash)
- Learn product locations and assist customers with recommendations
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic cash handling experience
- Familiarity with basic computer operations
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to operate a cash register
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Capability to stock and organize merchandise
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing and walking
- Regular bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Handling equipment such as scanners, box cutters, and stock containers
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Knowledge of wine, beer, tobacco, and spirits is a plus
