Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early intervention strategies, literacy education, math, physical education.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote childhood development milestones and support special education needs when applicable.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining clear communication with parents and guardians about each child's progress and welfare.
- Incorporate standardized testing and assessment tools to monitor learning outcomes and tailor lesson plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design engaging lesson plans focused on working with children across different developmental stages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Support child welfare by ensuring adherence to daycare standards, child safety protocols, and classroom management best practices.
- Facilitate activities that promote social-emotional learning, physical activity, and early literacy skills through tutoring and interactive lessons.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is required; Montessori or private school experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, standardized testing procedures, and childcare regulations.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education activities, math concepts, literacy strategies, and child welfare practices is highly desirable.
