Lead a Team, Not Just a Caseload
At Lumate, we don't just hire BCBAs — we build clinical leaders. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional ABA services and want an organization that values your clinical judgment, protects your time, and invests in your leadership growth, we want to meet you. Whether you're a newly certified BCBA looking for strong mentorship, an experienced clinician seeking a healthier practice environment, or a future Clinical Director ready to help open new clinics, Lumate is where your impact multiplies.
Tell us how far you want to go, and we'll help you get there.
What a Day at Lumate Looks Like
No two days as a BCBA at Lumate are exactly alike, and that's what keeps the work energizing. You might start your morning conducting a functional behavior assessment with a new family, then spend midday coaching one of your RBTs through a tricky program adaptation — modeling techniques in session and watching them click. In the afternoon, you could be analyzing progress data, refining treatment plans, or leading a case review where your team's ideas sharpen everyone's practice.
You'll balance direct supervision of mid-level supervisors or RBTs, parent training, treatment planning, behavioral assessments and collaboration with fellow BCBAs and psychologists — with protected time built into your schedule for the clinical thinking that great outcomes require. And for those who want it, some days might take you into the community: leading a training at a local school or equipping teachers with practical strategies for supporting neurodivergent students.
The Team Around You
You won't be practicing in isolation. Lumate's clinical leadership includes some of the top minds in behavioral psychology and behavioral health — colleagues who value peer consultation, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning. You'll have regular access to senior clinicians for complex cases, structured peer review, and a culture where asking questions is a strength.
You'll also work directly alongside licensed psychologists, giving you a rare opportunity to expand your clinical breadth beyond traditional ABA. Through case collaboration and mentorship, you'll deepen your understanding of co-morbid conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and OCD — and learn
how behavioral and psychological perspectives come together to serve clients and their families with complex, co-occurring needs.
Your RBTs, QASP-Ss and BCaBAs have been trained through the Lumate Academy, and our back-office team handles scheduling, insurance authorizations, and billing logistics — so your energy goes where it belongs: your clients, your team, your treatment plans and your craft.
What Makes Lumate Different
· Manageable caseloads. We staff for clinical quality, not maximum billables. You'll have the time to do the work right.
· Learn beyond ABA. Collaborate with our licensed psychologists to broaden your expertise into clients with issues like ADHD, anxiety, and OCD — knowledge that makes you a stronger, more versatile clinician.
· Teach in the community. If desired, represent Lumate as a trainer and consultant to local schools, coaching educators on how best to support neurodivergent children in the classroom.
· We invest in your growth. CEUs, and structured pathways toward senior administrative and regional leadership roles.
· You'll shape the future. Contribute to clinical program design, train the next generation of ABA Providers, and help build the systems a growing organization runs on.
· We're growing. Be part of the founding clinical teams opening new clinics across North Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland — with the leadership opportunities that come with it.
Who You Are
We're looking for clinicians who bring more than a credential. The best BCBAs at Lumate share these qualities:
· Clinically rigorous — You ground every treatment decision in data and evidence-based practice.

· Family-centered — You partner with caregivers, communicate clearly, and build treatment plans families can actually live with.
· Collaborative — You value peer consultation and believe shared expertise leads to better outcomes.
· Ethical and principled — You hold yourself to the highest standards of the BACB Ethics Code, even when no one is watching.
· Growth-minded — You see behavioral health as a calling and want to keep sharpening your practice.

· Eligibility for licensure as an LBA in North Carolina or awarded a license
· Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
