Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST POS.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend wine pairings, and upsell specialty items to enhance the dining experience
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving processes
- Manage guest inquiries efficiently, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Assist with setting up tables, bussing, and maintaining a clean dining environment throughout service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and special requests
Experience
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Strong background in food service with knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Familiarity with TOAST POS order management
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Previous experience in serving upscale dining restaurants considered a plus.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine pairing, upselling techniques, and sales strategies to enhance revenue opportunities
- Experience with food handling, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, and basic math for cash handling tasks
