Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to support accurate pipe and fixture placement.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques safely and effectively.
- Support the assembly and fitting of pipes using various materials and methods in accordance with building codes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Participate in field service tasks such as troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing system repairs or remodels.
- Maintain a clean work area, document work performed, and adhere to all safety regulations throughout each project.
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or exposure to construction sites is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation techniques, and mechanical principles.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding processes.
- Strong understanding of building codes related to plumbing and safety standards.
- Good basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and estimations.
- Excellent customer service attitude when interacting with clients or team members on-site.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence, including power tool safety practices.
- Field service or handyman experience related to remodeling or maintenance projects is a plus.
