We're currently seeking a motivated and experienced Bar/Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team. Summary
The Bar & Restaurant Manager oversees all daily operations of the bar, restaurant, and beverage service throughout the entertainment center. This role ensures exceptional guest service, consistent food and beverage quality, strong team performance, and profitable operations. The manager works closely with the General Manager and collaborates with bowling, golf, and event staff to create a seamless guest experience across all departments.
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily bar and restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, servers, hosts, bowling staff, and golf simulator staff.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety across all F&B areas.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule bar and restaurant staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action when needed.
- Foster a positive, professional, team‑oriented culture.
- Ensure staff compliance with alcohol service laws, food safety standards, and company policies.
Guest Experience
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak hours.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Support special events, leagues, parties, and group bookings.
Financial & Inventory Management
- Manage labor costs, food costs, and beverage costs to meet budget targets.
- Oversee inventory, ordering, vendor relationships, and invoice accuracy.
- Track sales trends and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Assist with menu development, pricing, and promotional planning.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with state and local health codes, liquor laws, and safety regulations.
- Maintain ServSafe, alcohol service certifications, and required documentation.
- Conduct regular safety and sanitation inspections.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of management experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff, resolve conflicts, and maintain high service standards.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic financial reporting.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Experience (Not Required):
- Experience in entertainment venues, bowling centers, golf simulators, or multi‑department operations.
- Event management or catering experience.
- Familiarity with league play, tournaments, or group events.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions.
