Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment with precision and care.
- Sort linens and other items according to type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal results.
- Perform cleaning tasks including stain removal, pressing, folding, and packaging of laundry items to meet quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by organizing supplies, sanitizing equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linens; notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow all safety procedures and hygiene standards to uphold health regulations and protect team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, stain removal, and folding.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency in work output.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures related to laundry operations.
- Prior experience in a hotel environment is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
