Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness in the cafe, and ensuring customer satisfaction through service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
- Engage in sales activities to promote menu items and enhance customer experience.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in the coffee industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques.
- Basic math skills for cashiering duties and retail math applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
