Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Temporary Custodian to join our facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our premises. Your efforts will ensure that all areas are hygienic, well-organized, and properly cared for, supporting the overall operations and enhancing the experience for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct routine floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance.
- Handle janitorial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold health standards.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and touch-ups to ensure facilities remain in excellent condition.
- Support industrial cleaning projects when necessary, utilizing specialized equipment for deep cleaning or large-scale sanitation efforts.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper care techniques suitable for various surfaces, ensuring safety and aesthetics are prioritized.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all custodial duties are completed efficiently and according to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, including floor care and buffing equipment operation.
- Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Prior porter or maintenance experience is a plus but not required.
