Role Overview: We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Residential Solar Installer to join our team in Hills, IA. As a key player in our solar installation crew, you’ll contribute to transforming rooftops into eco-friendly powerhouses. Key Responsibilities:
- Solar PV Installation: Installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential rooftops and other structures.
- Site Assessments: Perform site assessments and measurements to determine optimal system placement.
- Assembly and Maintenance: Assemble, install, and maintain solar modules, panels, and support structures.
- Compliance and Quality: Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations, maintaining our high standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the installation team to complete projects efficiently and within budget.
- Troubleshooting: When challenges arise, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to solar installations.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients throughout the process.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in solar installation is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in solar PV installation.
- Electrical Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions; excellent physical stamina.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification: NABCEP certification is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits:
