RESPONSIBILITIES:
NEW GRADUATES WELCOME TO APPLY!
Include, but are not limited to the following:
1. The Nurse will:
a. Reviewing the chart and becoming familiar with all orders
b. Serving as the patient advocate
c. Following Universal Precautions and Blood-borne Pathogen protocols
d. Assuring that needed supplies are available for patient care
e. Providing for the emotional/physical comfort and safety of patients through the entire procedure visit
f. Responding to life threatening situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol
g. Providing patient care as delegated by the clinical nurse manager
h. Assisting the CRNA/MD as appropriate and necessary
i. Takes vital signs pre- and post-procedure and document accordingly
j. Complete pre- and post procedure assessments and document accordingly
k. Start and/or oversee IV starts by certified personnel.
l. IV Therapy as ordered by MD.
m. Delegate appropriate scope of practice skills to MA/Tech
n. Provide education both pre- and post- procedure in a private and confidential environment. Including family unless requested otherwise.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Holds a valid RN or BSN license in the state of Colorado.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Colorado/Multi-state Nursing License
Basic Life Support (Must be current to work in patient care)
ACLS (Must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.)
