Job Overview
Ann Arbor Psychological Testing is seeking a licensed neuropsychologist to join our growing practice as a 1099 independent contractor. Adult, pediatric, and lifespan focused neuropsychologists are encouraged to apply.
This position is designed to allow the neuropsychologists to focus on clinical interviewing, interpretation, diagnostic formulation, report writing, and patient feedback while in-person testing, scheduling, and practice operations are supported by AAPT staff.
The role offers substantial flexibility and is ideal for a neuropsychologist seeking part-time clinical work that can be performed primarily through telehealth. Clinicians may reside anywhere in Michigan or elsewhere in the United States, provided they maintain active Michigan licensure. Full psychometry support is provided.
Referrals primarily involve neuropsychological evaluations, with opportunities to participate in other assessment services offered by the practice based on clinician interest and expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct neuropsychological clinical interviews via telehealth
- Review medical, educational, and collateral records
- Select and interpret neuropsychological assessment measures
- Integrate test findings with clinical history and collateral information
- Prepare comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation reports
- Conduct patient and family feedback sessions
- Collaborate with practice staff regarding case planning and scheduling as needed
In-person testing is administered by trained psychometrists or on-site psychologists in our Ann Arbor office. Administrative support, scheduling, intake coordination, and testing materials are provided by the practice.
Qualifications
Required
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Completion of a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology or equivalent specialized training
- Licensed psychologist in Michigan, or eligibility and willingness to obtain Michigan licensure within 90 days
- Demonstrated experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations across neurologic, medical, and psychiatric populations
- Strong diagnostic formulation and report-writing skills
Preferred
- Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN)
Compensation
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position.
- Compensation is paid on a per-evaluation basis and amount varies depending on referral type and case complexity.
- Referrals are offered on a mutually agreed-upon basis. Clinicians maintain flexibility regarding case acceptance and scheduling.
- Compensation is between $1650 and $2850 per case depending on case complexity.
Pay: $1,650.00 - $2,850.00 per day
