Power Counseling PLLC is a medium sized group practice providing behavioral health, medication management and wellness education programs in the Washington DC/Mayland/Virginia region. As we expand our services, we need more talented clinicians. Please, join us! We're looking to hire independent and fully licensed clinicians to join our talented clinical team.
If you hold the following licenses and certifications, this message is for you: LCSW/LCSW-C; LPC/LCPC; LMFT/LCMFT; PsyD; MAC; CARN-AP; OR AAMFT/NAADAC NCAC II. The clinicians would need to be licensed in the District of Columbia. Additional licenses in Maryland, and/or Virginia would be a plus.
We work with teens, couples, adults, and families. We are looking for clinicians who will off telehealth psychotherapy services (and some in-person session) in a supportive work environment. The positions are for independent contractors (1099s).
Clinicians who are retired, about to retire, or others who need part-time work are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be expected to provide individual, group, couple, or family therapy, by telehealth or in person.

Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning aligned with clinical documentation standards.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health challenges or trauma.
- Document patient care accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems following HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to client needs.
Experience
- Demonstrated success working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Prior experience delivering psychotherapy across diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, or co-occurring disorders.
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and remote patient assessments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards related to mental health assessments, treatment planning, and case management.
Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
