Overview
Zen is looking for an energetic, health-minded Demo Specialist to bring our protein puddings straight to the people who'll love them. You'll be the face of Zen in grocery stores, gyms, and local events — sampling product, sharing what makes it different, and turning curious shoppers into loyal customers. This is a paid, on-your-feet role for someone who genuinely enjoys food, fitness, and talking to strangers. If you like variety in your day and want real experience in brand marketing and sales, this is a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Set up and run in-store demo tables and event sampling stations for Zen Protein Puddings across different retail locations
- Hand out samples and coupons, and guide customers through a quick, friendly pitch on the product's taste, protein content, and ingredients
- Answer questions on the spot — flavors, macros, where to find it in-store, how it compares to other protein snacks
- Encourage on-the-spot purchases by pointing customers to the shelf and helping them use their coupon at checkout
- Track basic demo metrics: samples given out, coupons redeemed, customer reactions, and any recurring questions or objections
- Keep the demo table clean, well-stocked, and branded consistently with Zen's look and messaging
- Travel to multiple store locations on a set schedule, sometimes multiple stops per day
- Share quick photo/video content from demos for Zen's social channels when asked
Who You Are
- Comfortable approaching strangers and striking up conversation — you don't need a script to be persuasive
- Genuinely interested in fitness, nutrition, or healthy eating; you don't have to be an athlete, but you should be able to speak credibly about protein, macros, and healthy snacking
- Reliable and organized enough to manage your own schedule across different store locations
- Prior retail, food service, or sales experience is a plus, but attitude matters more than resume
- Able to stand for extended periods and carry/set up demo equipment (table, cooler, signage, samples)
- Comfortable handling light objections ("isn't this expensive," "I don't like protein puddings") without getting flustered
- Bilingual is a plus for reaching more shoppers
- Basic comfort with a phone/tablet for tracking numbers and posting content
