The Business Manager is responsible for the overall administrative and operational management of the Center, ensuring high-quality early childhood and preschool services through effective staff leadership, regulatory compliance, and efficient business operations. This role oversees day-to-day management functions, supports a positive workplace culture, and ensures the center operates in accordance with all state licensing requirements and organizational policies. Fast-paced childcare environment requiring regular interaction with staff, children, and families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Program & Operations Leadership

Plan, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day operations of the child development center.

Day-to-day management functions

Ensure compliance with state and local licensing regulations (e.g., Title 5, Title 22).
Staff Management

Recruit, schedule, and manage staff workloads.

Resolve occasional parent concerns promptly and professionally.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight

Assist in managing the center’s annual budget.

Oversee the food program.
Qualifications/ Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration

Minimum of 3–5 years of management experience

Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and childcare management software
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the workday with intermittent periods of sitting, walking, and occasional bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and grasping as necessary to carry out essential job duties.

Dexterity requirements range from coordinated movements of fingers and hands to simple movements of feet, legs, and torso as necessary to carry out essential job duties.
