The Landfill Operator II performs a variety of equipment operation and landfill duties to support the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible disposal of solid waste. This position contributes to all areas of landfill operations while working as part of a collaborative team.
What You'll Do
- Operate a variety of landfill equipment to support daily landfill operations.
- Perform equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Maintain safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible landfill operations.
- Assist with site maintenance, green waste operations, and other landfill activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support the daily needs of the landfill.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Utah Driver License.
- Two (2) years of experience operating heavy equipment in landfill, construction, or related operations.
- 24-hour HAZWOPER certification, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Hunter Safety course certification, or the ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Schedule:
- Monday–Saturday on a rotating schedule, starting at 6:45 a.m., with end times varying based on season and operational needs.

Pay: From $23.67 per hour
