We are looking for a committed Physical Therapist to provide excellent patient care to the community of the US Virgin Islands in an outpatient ortho setting. The therapist can work any self designated combination of hours to equate 40 hours of patient care/week. Physical therapist may oversee PTA's and techs as needed. We are looking for someone who is also a fit for the island lifestyle. We would be open to part time work, as well!
Responsibilities
- Participate in patient care (evaluations, re-evaluations, follow ups, etc.)
- Oversight of PTAs
- Collaboration in the Total Joint Program for patients having TKA's and THA's
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress
- Document patient care services
Skills
- Proven work experience as a physical therapist
- Intensive education and clinical expertise
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and backgrounds
- Current knowledge of treatment practices
- Drive to continually learn and grow
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice physical therapy (will assist with getting licensed in the USVI)
- Graduate degree or greater in physical therapy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
