Basic Irish Luxury (A Tipperary Store) is a Fashion | Jewelry and Lifestyle Store with a nearly 50-year track record of happy customers. Our Newport RI location is a very well known store locally as well as must stop for visitors to town. We are seeking experienced, motivated, super service oriented, friendly retail pro for Full Time Assistant Store Manager / Key Holder position. Applicants should be experienced in Retail OmniChannel Store Management and preferably have knowledge of Irish / Celtic culture and symbols and possibly experience traveling / living in Ireland. Applicants should have the ability to strike up conversations while explaining the benefits and origins of our inventory of high quality Irish and Scottich products. Product training provided.
Tasks & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Work with modern POS data system for ordering/receiving, sale, ticketing and shipping of inventory.
- Communicate daily with GM on store operations.
- Work with team members in other stores to fill customer orders and requests.
- eMail marketing and Social Media experience a plus.
Assist shoppers in trying on and / or model fashion garments.
- Acquire knowledge of products and the craftspeople and families in Ireland who make them. We'll introduce you!
- Maintain inventory cleanliness and presentation.
Take in, explain and document customer jewelry repair and maintenance. Involve other team members in sales to help customers make decisions and close sales. Develop and build customer relationships. Work independently and follow opening, closing and security procedures. Must be punctual and reliable.
-Typical tourist town retail hours availability will include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday. This is retail, not 9 to 5.
Required Experience: Basic Microsoft Office, OneDrive, customer email / texting communication skills required.
-Ability to stand for long periods of time.
-Previous boutique retail key holder and cash handling experience preferred.
Pay: Up to $900.00 per week
