Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will deliver top-quality physical therapy treatments that empower our residents to achieve their recovery goals and maximize their daily function.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Execution: Safely and effectively deliver physical therapy treatments according to the care plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide targeted, evidence-based treatments, including:
- Therapeutic exercises & functional training
- Gait, transfers, and balance training
- Manual therapy techniques
- Application of physical modalities and specialized rehab equipment
- Care Collaboration: Partner with the interdisciplinary rehab team and actively participate in patient care meetings and staffing conferences.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate residents, families, and caregivers on safe treatment techniques and home exercise programs to enhance recovery.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise, timely, and compliant records of patient care, daily treatments, and functional progress.
- Clinical Support: Assist the supervising PT with specialized tests, complex procedures, and ongoing evaluations as instructed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Illinois (or immediate eligibility).
